Do I need a doctor's referral?
In UK and Ireland you do not need a doctor's referral to see a physiotherapist, unless you wish to make an insurance claim for a workplace injury or motor vehicle accident. Insurance companies usually insist that your doctor deems it necessary for you to receive Physiotherapy treatment for your injury.
